Help for 8yr old peeing in pants

Recently my neice (8yrs old) started peeing in her pants, & doesn't even relize she had... it's really worring me...is this just a normal accident or should I step in with her mother to seek professional help? it's been the past three days, anywhere from once to three times daily... HELP!!??

I agree that she needs to be seen by a doctor immediately.  Often pants wetting is a sign of sexual abuse.  Please intervene immediately for the child's best interest.

If this just started, and its happening multiple times, she needs to be seen by a doctor. It is very possible that this is caused by a medical condition that requires treatment. I would not wait on this --
