For the past month whenever our six year old daughter gets angry she starts to pull out her eyelashes....at first I thought maybe she saw me plucking my eyebrows and thought that is what she was doing. But she has done this several times now. Well yesterday I noticed she didn't have anymore of her eyelashes left on her right eyelid. I asked her if she was pulling them out again and she said no, then I said that I know she has because they are all gone she doesn't have ANY. It's so frustrating. I asked her when she done this and she said while they were in computer class, then I asked why and she said she had too. Of course I kept on with why do you have to do this and finally after many go arounds with this she finally said she done this because she was mad. One of the children in her class said something mean to her about her sister and she pulled them out. Everytime she does this she always says its because she has to. I asked her if she had a voice in her head telling her to do this and she said no. Now she tells me its because she is mad. We are concerned that this type of behavior might lead to other things such as cutting when she gets older. I don't know. I have had many long talks with her. And I explained that she is going to get mad from time to time but hurting herself is not the answer. I don't know what else to do.
