I have to sleep with him or he will not fall sleep he has adhd not medicate,

Could you tell us more would you have any idea why he is afraid or is it a habit ,has he always slept with you . Many families have a family bed but perhaps once they get older and puberty is looming its best they have their own bed. for comfort and privacy ..What you have to do is explain to him that he would sleep better in his own bed, and so would you ,that you want your own bed, have you a husband who also shares the bed ,  be firm be consistent,each night he goes to his own bed .He wont like it at first but its surprising how quickly children adjust once they know they cannot win ...Good luck
