Well, these are transition years and huge in terms of child development. Kids are finding their own voice and still lack impulse control. They are also entering in settings that require things of them (like sitting still once in a while----- which is very hard for some kids) that they may not be used to. There are expectations on them for peer interaction, academics, controling themselves . . . yet they are still little. So they are difficult years, for sure. But they do go VERY fast!!
