A possibility - social anxiety. Yes, behaviour such as your son is displaying can be from socal anxiety. I might suggest you google the phrase "social anxiety in children" or "anxiety at school" or similar words/phrases to see if the descriptions are similar to those of your son. If so, then it is time to see the family doctor (which I think you should do anyway). Just a possibility ....
A thought that comes to mind, is allergies. Is he allergic to any foods that you know of? Has he been tested for allergies or is he on allergy medication? Allergies can cause irritability in children and aggression. With him throwing up after eating makes me suspect allergies along with the behavior. He could have a gluten allergy or a milk allergy. You may want to get him tested or watch for any sign of rash after eating. You could also keep a daily log of what he eats to see if there is a connection on the days that are the worst.
