Showing private parts

how do i sort this problem out? my 6 year old daughter was caught with her pants down showing her private parts to another boy, i asked her were she learns this from and who taught her to dothis, she stares at me with this blank expression on her face and keeps quiet, i am so angry and embarressed by this, i am a single mom raising to girls and i have not experienced this with my first born.


Please can you give me some advice?

This could be innocent exploration.  Let her know that this behavior is inappropriate and she will be disciplined the next time.  However if it does occur again, you might need to have her evaluated by a mental health professional to find out why this behavior is occurring.

I don't think anyone needs to show or tell a child to take their clothes off to give them that idea.  It's a very obvious thing to do to get attention,  in my opinion.

I think an idea for a conversation would be to ask her what she was trying to accomplish by doing this.  Was she trying to get the boy to like her?  To think she was wild and adventuresome?  Make him laugh?  What did she want the boy's response to be.

She doesn't want to tell you because someone has told her not to tell, in a way she finds compelling.  You might ask by talking generally about what to do when someone you know might get into trouble for something you know about.  You could ask her what she would do in such a situation.
