Normal for a 4 year old boy

My son recently turned 4 and I noticed at daycare he plays only with the girls.  I talked to his teacher about this and they said he prefers playing with the girls but will play with the boys.  They said that the girls fight over who gets to play with him because he will pretend to be the prince when playing princess.  He loves to pretend play as we have encouraged that.  When @ home he plays super heroes trains etc.  He absolutely loves playing with his boy cousin the same age.  He says he plays with the girls because they t beautiful & the boys aren't as cool as his dad. Im worried that I'm missing something & note letting him be himself.  My mom says I'm ridiculous that I have a happy boy who's just being a kid and playing with the kids who give him attention. Has anyone else had a similar situation or any thoughts

My little guy is much younger, just coming up to 19 months. But his "best friends" both at daycare and at home are girls.  Just his favorite people to play with right now.  

Honestly, I wouldn't put any thought into at all.  He sounds like a cute kid, and very socialized.  Those are good things.  To me it sounds like you are just letting him be himself, so good job momma!

Hummm sounds to me he is a Lothario in the making ...hey your Mom is absolutely right .....
