Do you think of them as attractive, or as part of your history? I have a friend, a very pretty woman, who has a scar on her nose. She got it falling off a motorcycle. People asked her why she did not get the scar removed. She said, "Oh, no. I can't do that. It is part of my life."

You have a lot of interesting insights on your profile,  kaos.

I actually think scars are attractive to some people - mostly people kind of on the fringes of society,  though.    Look at extreme piercings,  Body Modification including genital cutting,  those awful earrings that are huge plugs that cause the ears to stretch out in horrible proportions - I do think scars are attractive to some people.

Best wishes with all your concerns.

I would think they would merely be a sad reminder of what once was.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.  If, however, you are still doing this, please seek help.  There are many things they can do to make you FEEL better without having to hurt yourself. Our mental health is fragile and we must take care of it.  Best wishes for you.  (cutting and self mutilation is not "normal" and requires doctor's care to discontinue such self destructive behavior and to FEEL better-------------  I want you to FEEL good in a healthy way.)

well maybe they are attractive to you because you see them as a reminder of the past and your mistakes. Its okay to think that scars are attractive as long as you dont make anymore.
