7yr old has tummy ache, persistant fevers and her eyes hurt too

My daughter had pneumonia 3 months ago.  Since then, she's had a fever off an on (once every few weeks) and now her tummy hurts w/o sign of fever.  Her eyes hurt too.  She had her vision checked last year and I don't think vision is the problem.  Could be allergies but how do we know for sure?  I heard that testing for allergies is painful for kids.  I'm also concerned about the reoccurring fever which I'm sure will show up again in about a week or two.  There really are no other symptoms ...am I making a bigger deal out of this or should I be worried?  Please let me know your thoughts.  Thanks!

You don't have to do the "skin" tests if you're looking at food allergies. YOu can do a single blood test (one needle only) and have the blood tested outside his body. For skin testing, we had it at about 8 years old (son) and it doesn't hurt much either--kids cant see their back or the 'scratches' (not really needles)--the itchiness is painful later if you do end up reacting though.  Doesn't sound like allergies to me though (having had one boy with many many ) . Sounds like a virus that hasn't been knocked out.

What does the doctor say?  Recurring fevers are alarming-- can't they run some tests for other illnesses to rule them out?

Wanted to let you know that I had to take my son in for allergy tests when he was about 2 1/2, they really do not hurt that much, I think the allergy tests that they do on adults is probably a lot more painful.  All they did to my son was put a series of dots on each of his arms and very gently took at tiny blade to his arm that she didn't even poke him with, just merely rubbed on his arm.  He didn't even flinch, I hope this helps you as far as the allergy testing.  I know I was very apprehensive about having it done to my son.  Take care and good luck.

a few other questions, have you taken her back to the doctor, look up legionierres pneumonia, see if any symptoms match, I am an RN and am in no way diagnosing, just trying to help you out.

you say her tummy hurts. is she having normal bowel movements, is her abdomen distended or firm?? does the pain stay in one spot or does it radiate to any other areas. are are bowel movements normal in color and consistancy or are they hard, runny?? foul odor???
