Toilet

Our 41/2 year old little girl will not poo on the tiolet. She refuses to go, holds it in. She has been potty trained for over a year and a half, wee's are fine but refuses to poo. She tell us that she does not want to do them. She understands that everyone does them knows that she needs to go but says that she doesn't want to do them. We have to hold her on the toilet and as she is pooing she will still be denying that she needs a poo or that she has done one.
We have seen the Dr and there is nothing wrong with her, she is in no pain just does not want to do them. We have had 2 accidents at school and every day she goes we are both very nervous. We have tried encouragement, reward charts, praise, chatting and trying to find out what the issue is? We can make her understand and she will say she will poo on the tiolet but then her last words will always be "I'm not going to do any poo's".
We have no idea what to do. We have tried everything but this is clearly in her head and we need some help. Everyone says that it will take time but we've been waiting about 18 months and are bith very concerned about school. The school have been great and are trying their best to help.
What if anything can we do.

I would Not use this as a threat with her but, she may have to wear pull ups  :(
That might bother her enough to start her going on potty, Im sure she wants to be a big girl and not have to wear them!!

You should try and explain to her that school requires her to go poo on the potty like a big girl , like it is something she  has to do...if she really enjoys school that too might prompt her !

As long as you VERY certain there isnt some health issue!

Good luck, im sure she will come around very soon!

If she's actually able to hold it in,  it sounds like she has a constipation problem to begin with.

Have you tried adding fiber to her diet?  In the form of bran in her cereal or metamucil?
