How does her older sister, sister's friends, cousins behave towards her, do they tease , what is their attitude, when she has the outburst could be in defence of how they behave towards her, could older sister have some jealousy ?
That's pretty normal.. She's an adolescent now ! I understand how frustrating and so out-of-control for parents but it is completely normal.. Her actions reflect her trials to be more independent and act like an adult but then she doesn't know how to do that so basically that's the whole issue.. Just deal with it without yelling, smacking, or extreme punishment.. This a good reference for parenting: Carl, P. (n.d.). The First Stage of Adolescence (Early Adolescence: ages 9 - 13).
