my son's behavior changes when he is asked not to do something for several time, even with please. he finally stops, when I scream at him or treaten him to punish him. he has a very good manner with strangers or frends of ours. but he acts likehe is too smart for us and we don't know anything. when he argue with us, he always scream at us and when I tell him please be quiet, he says make me. so I slap him on his mouth and he says do it again to see what happens. and when he gets ungry, he push his head with both of his hand like he wants to explod.
after 5 minutes he changes like nothing happend and in the midle of everything, he says, dad can you get me a Ipod or rent a movie like nothing ever happend. he is very aware of what he is doing but when I aske him why are you doing this. he says I don't kno. I love my baby and try to give him what he likes to have specially when he does good in school which he thinks i am pushing him to much and thats because i tell him please finish your homework before 9-10 p.m. so you have time to sleep. when we get to argument, he has to win or I have to punish him to finish conversation. as I said he changes after5 minute and I dont know how to change his behavior. he is A+ student and Ihave a collage degree in construction but I cook for living.please help me.

How old is your son?  Is he getting enough sleep for his age?  You can google his age and find out how many hours he needs.  From personal experience I know that slapping him is not good as it does not work and it just will alienate you from him.  He needs to have some anger control releases like punching a pillow or squeezing a ball.

Basically, he has got you playing his game.  You have to change the rules.  But how you do that depends on how old he is.  So how old is he?
