behaviour

please help i have a 6 year old daughter who i am finding very difficult to control her behaviour she is very disruptive at home & school if i am talking she constantly buts in she runs round the house screaming constantly makes stupid noises, has broken her bed&wardrobe draws.i can not have a minutes peace she talks on overdrive wants 2 be centre of attention all the time.when i try 2 put her on timeout she gets up & wanders around.I put her in her room she bangs and squeals.our house is like a war zone.I refuse to take her shopping as she will not stop touching things. If i talk 2 her she seems to switch of and go into her own little world and when she comes back i ask her 2 repeat what ive said and she just shrugs at me and says "dont know".Is she just a naughty child or could it be more im at my wits end please help.from a distressed mum.

You said yourself she is consantly seeking attention, does she get enough quality attention from you and her Dad,has she other siblings she has some jealousy issues with, Experts advise parents to always focus on the positive side of any child's behavior, catch her doing something right and praise her, make use of her individual creativity and channel her energy in constructive ways. Chlidren often but into adult conversation , perhaps you can include her in some of it as she is presant,How about outside activities children thrive with sports and swimming and Nature study , hiking cycling. Give her more one to one attention and see if she is better.
