im concerned about my 6 yr old

I have a 6 yr old daughter, we got a kitten a couple months ago and she always is mean to it,tried smothering it with a blanket so i took the kitten and  told her she was not allowed alone with the kitten ..and one night she mustve snuck the kitten in her room because  i heard the cat crying in her room, i walked in thinking the cat just wanted out of her room because her door was shut..no i walk in to her bare naked humping the kitten.. I immediately flipped out and scolded her , I asked her where she learned this from, did she watch this on tv all she said was my brain told me too do, not anyone else.im worried is this normal??

Well, this would be concerning.  You need to remove the cat from your home for its safety.  Period.  She's not ready to have an animal in the house.  For dogs, they say not to get a puppy until kids are older than 6 when they have better self control.  Same for a kitten, I imagine.  so, kitty has to go for its welfare.

I don't think it is normal to get naked and hump a cat, do you?  you ask the question but don't you know the answer?  Some kids have normal curiousity and discover sensation.  It happens.  but she is sexualized a bit more than that and to use a cat???  To hurt the cat in the process?  She needs to be supervised around all other kids.  That is a really important thing as child on child molestation is common.  I think I'd set bounaries--  never is she to do that outside her room, and always ALONE (including cats, friends, or anyone else).  And I'd consider a therapist.  If there have been other things that have raised the red flag . . .  then you need to follow up on this.  Don't be afraid to have a professional talk to her.  good luck

yes, iam sure she was humping the kitten she had her clothes on when she went into her room.but then I heard the kitten crying like a frustrated leave me alone cry, I opened her door to her standing bare naked with the kitten between her legs.I'am getting rid of the kitten asap, I also have another daughter that is almost 1 and dont want her influenced by this :( me and my oldest daughters dad our not together she sees him every other weekend court ordered. yes iam also looking into a child physcologist, i dont think she was sexually abused by anyone. im with her pretty much all the time. besides when shes at her dads, school, and her gmas which is my mom that i trust 100%. theres been other incidents besides this one that happened with her rubbing or humping things but never with clothes off or an animal!! im not just very concerned and was looking for advice thanks

Um, no.  Probably not normal.  Sure she was doing that to the kitten?  maybe she was just doing it and the kitten was there.  Pretty sure they don't have cat humping on tv.  If you believe she was doing this, ask her why.  don't yell at her, but ask her why. Tell her you don't buy the 'brain told me to do it stuff'.  But I'm guessing you are not accurate in what you saw.  Doesn't make a lot of sense for this to be true.  If you feel she has been sexually abused, then I think it is time to see a child psychologist.  If you think she has some mental health issues that make her sexual with a cat, also time to see a child psychologist.

And I suggest you get rid of the kitten.  A shelter would be safer than this type of situation.

good luck
