Hi, I almost forgot I had this. Part of it is very good info, and part is a booklet meant to be read to your child. Its from the 80's, but the message is good. Let me know what you think.

I've never heard of encorpresis before but doing my research this may be what his problem is thank you so much for all y'all help
I do keep the wipes around he likes to use them but still not getting it all I guess I've been finding poop in various places of his room and he has no idea when and how it could happened
Except, talk to any city sanitary department ... wipe companies might sell them as flushable, but they universally raise havoc with the sewer systems of all cities. So, toss not flush, even if they are a little gross. My son was persuaded to use t.p. for the big first wipes, and to flush the t.p, but then he used wipes for further clean-up. He liked this and no kidding, his butt was sparkling. lol
The other thing to do is to read up on encopresis, and see if the reason he seems to spend a long time in the loo and then still have a messy bottom is that he is coping with the trickle effect of encopresis. It's a pretty common and distressing problem for boys at this age and well worth knowing about. Google "encopresis" and see if the symptoms seem familiar.
Good point. You can also buy "flushable moist wipes" at most grocery stores, which might be easier to use.
You could buy baby wipes and keep them in the bathroom. Some kids are very sensitive about the dry feeling of toilet paper and just can't handle it on their bottoms, but will use baby wipes just fine. If you go that route, put a liner in the trash can and keep it by the toilet and empty it every day, wipeys were not meant to be flushed and are horrible for sewer systems. He'll probably grow out of the need for the wipes, but in the meantime will thank you for giving him an alternative.
