potty training

my son is 41/2 years old and has been potty trained for about a year now and has recenly started having bowel movements in his underwear daily every time he has to poop. could this have anything to do with the fact that he started a pre kindergarten program 3 weeks ago? the pooping the pants has been going on for a week straight now. what can i do i feel like i am going to pull my hair out because his sister is now starting the potty training process and it feels like i have to start all over with my son.

Ask the school if the children have easy access and are allowed to go to the Bathroom when they need to, does he do this at school aswell?as it strated when he has gone to Pre K I would think the problem lies there so make enquiries there if he is holding it till he gets home then there is a problem with him having access at school.

Check for constipation.  My daughter had severe constipation for a year and was soiling her pants.  The new school or bathroom perhaps may have caused him to hold it.  Mine would hold and then her body would just push it out and she had no control.
