My 4 year olds behavior

My 4 year old son has developed a new behavior within the last 6 months and I am not sure on how to handle this.  It seems that lately he will not leave my side.

He is a well adjusted little boy and has been in full day pre-school since he was 3.  He gives me no problems going to school in the morning or anything but as soon as we are at home, he will not leave my side.  If I am in the Kitchen, he is right behind me.  If I am in the bedroom he is right behind me.  If I am in the bathroom he is right beside me, etc. Literally when I stop walking, his head smacks into my butt.

I have talked to him about this but it isn't helping him to stop this.  I do not know how to handle this.  I can understand if he was a clingy child, but normally he is not.  He doesn't cry or wine when I am in the other room.

I think its more like he wants to know what I am doing at every moment.  Im just not sure.

Please if you have any advice for me on how to handle this, let me know?

Thank you,
AJ's mommy

Maybe dont m ake an issue of it and it'll stop, he wants to be near you,put up with it and like all things it will change , make an issue of it and it will take longer, I wish mine were still around to follow me.
