11 Year old and weight loss

my son is 11 years old and weighs 77 punds and at a good height (can't rememebr the exact height but his doctor says he is where he should be for both).  The problem is he has lost about 4 punds in the last year.  His doctor did blood work and an exam and all was fine.  I get a little freaked out about it as I am a worrier.  His eating habits fluctuate - sometimes he eats like a horse and other times not.  His fecal swab came back fine also.  Should I be worried?  He is a very active boy also with playing and his sports.  Thanks!!

If the MD said he is fine from his check-up then I would not worry. I suggest you give him a daily chewable child multi-vitamin so he gets all the vitamins and minerals he needs at those times when he is not eating well. Thank you for your question.

That's great! That will give him extra calories and protein to help stabilize his weight and grow. Thank you for the feedback.
