Hi,
My older son is 4 years and 7 months old. He weighs 39.65 lbs and is 3 ft 8 in tall. Very active, energetic, and also eats well thru the day. BUT HE IS VERY VERY SKINNY. I want him to look a bit healthier and fleshier.
My son just turn 3 in April and weighted at that time 29 lbs and 35 inches tall. He is skinnier than most kids od his age and people always say how tiny he is. He eats almost everything except veggies and fruits( breaks my heart) but i try to supplement with vitamins.
I want him to gain more weigth cause somtimes I feel like I'm failing and feel a lot of guilt like I'm doing something wrong. he is very energetic and smart.
what can i do to help him
His weight is just below the 50th percentile and his height is between the 90-75th percentiles for his age. He is normal weight for his age. He appears thinner due to his tall stature. It is good to hear that he is eating well, and active. A child his age should consume approximately 1800 calories per day to grow which is spread out a day to 3 meals and snacks between meals. Thank you for your question.
