he can't chew still on cereal

can u plz tell me wt should i do to teach my 3 1/2 year old to chew . i try evrythng like keep him hungry fr long time, shw him hw i chew, xplain him hw to chew he see but he dnt try n whn i sa him three to four times he strts crying n getting upset. should i go to any specialist  im really woried plz advise me.

My son had similar issues when he was younger. An occupational therapist was very helpful in our case. Good luck.

He may need to learn how to chew and swallow food. That would not be a reflection on your parenting. Some children just do not know how to do it and need to be taught. They need to learn how to chew and shallow food properly; it is not really an instinct behavior like sucking. Suggest getting him evaluated, by going to your MD, and start therapy so he can start to eat regular food.
