Tested Positive for Chlamydia

I recently tested positive for Chlamydia (swap test) and was prescribed  8 (250 mg tablets) of Apo-Azithromycin and two (400 mg tablets) of Suprax as a single dose treatment.  It has been nearly seven days since the treatment.  Can I consider myself cured?  I've noticed that the usually dosage is only 1 gm of Azithromycin for treatment and curious as to why my dose was doubled.

Your doctor only knows why they prescribed you so much.  The Suprax was probably for gonorrhea just in case.  It is not uncommon to have both at the same time.

But if it has been 7 days, you are fine to resume sexual activity.  Please protect yourself with latex condoms so you will not have to go through it again.  That is unless, you know your partner's std status.
