fitz hugh curtis

My doctor diagnosed me with fitz hugh curtis syndrome after a laparscopy.  I was in pain for over fifteen years, all this time thinking it was endometriosis.  Can you get this disease from something other than an std?  I have been with the same man for over twenty years and neither of us have had an std.  Also what treatment is there for this?  My doctor doesn't really give me any answers, just referred me to someone else.  I am quite uncomfortable in the ruq.  I always had pain in the lower abdomen before the laparascopy, why would I have ruq pain now?  Thank you.

I'm sorry but it would appear that FHC is only cause by chlamydia and or gono. The article below gives some good information, I do not know too much about it but I hope this site helps you.

Thanks for your time.  I actually found out that there are other ways to get FHC.  Minor gynecological procedures such as a d &C..and IUD insertions, also childbirth can cause this bacteria to get up into the paracolic gutters and cause FHC.  I just don't understand why I wasn't diagnosed with a PID in the first place.  I went to numerous doctors, and E.R.s when I was in a lot of pain, and they just thought I was a drug seeker.  In the meantime, my body was being ravaged by this disease, and now I am left with adhesions on my liver that are causing me lots of pain.  I cannot find any information on what will happen with my liver next, will it atrophy, will I get tumors? I have no answers from my dr. he has just referred me to a surgeon, which I cannot afford to go to.  If anyone has information on this condition, I would really appreciate it.  Thanks.

Now From what I read FHC is different then PID but is in relations to it... If it is PID you have.. Then heres a great website
