risk of g/c from oral??

by jessisscared, May 20, 2008 06:57PM
Hello:

I'm female, in all my past relationships I have had unprotected oral giving and recieving. I just had a g/c test done which was negative. I never realized that g/c can be transmitted orally as well( stupid I know).

Should I return to the doctor and have the oral test done??? Is there a big risk that I should have it done or am I worrying for nothing????

Thanks!!!

Chlamydia is not transmitted orally, but gonorrhea can be (it's possible, but not probable).  Usually oral gonorrhea has no symptoms at all and from what I gathered on the expert's forum, it might eventually clear on it's own (however, I'm not a professional and am not sure of this..).  If you remain concerned, you could always get tested, it can't hurt.
Good luck,
Em
