I Freakin' Hurt!

So I have had a really bad pain in my stomach for a while now.  It's happened a lot over a long period of time, but it goes away for a little while and comes back strong.  It feels like gas, but nothing comes out, and it doesn't pass for at least a week.  It eventually makes me sick to my stomach, and headaches and fatigue often accompany the pain.  Is it seriously just bowel problems/gas or should I go to the doctor about it?

I agree with the the other comments.  I do recommend seeing a physician; there are , treatable conditions such as ulcers that can be dangerous if untreated, as an ulcer, for example, can eventually perforate or hemorrhage.

you should definately see a dr about it. are you having bowel troubles at all? do you have a history of any illnesses in that area? do certain types of food trigger the pain? please provide us with as much info as you can and please see a doctor. it is virtually impossible for anyone here to reliably diagnose you and treat you.

best of luck,

Yes, there are definitely horrible bowel problems.  No, I do not have a history (that I know of, since I never went to the dr about it).  Chinese food can trigger the pain sometimes, but I've been staying away from it lately.

there are many things that can go wrong in the digestive system that can cause pain and discomfort. I'm not sure why you don't see dr's more often. they might be able to reduce your pain and improve your quality of life. or perhaps a nutritionist or dietician. try avoiding processed foods, alcohol, etc and don't over eat. when you eat too much at once, the stomach can't break down and process the food quickly enough and unprocessed food goes into the intestines causing pain, inflammation, gas and in severe cases even fecal impaction, which can be very painful.

best of luck to you

Well, I don't eat that much, I don't drink except very occasionally and not much then.  Drs are freaking expensive, and I have no source of income and the insurance deductible from the last time I went kicked me in the rear end.  I still haven't paid it.

Honestly, I think that there might actually be something wrong with me, because I have also been nauseous lately and even woke up dizzy the other day.

Now it could be my eating habits.  I will agree there.  Considering, I am a college student.  Face it, the cafeteria food has poisoned most of the people on campus, and what doesn't poison you contains enough grease to kill someone.  So, my fiance and I usually eat out.  McDonalds, Taco Bell, Chinese, an occasional Long John or KFC... yeah... I'm probably not the healthiest eater out there.
