You should see your Dr. for that acid reflux and get it under control. My mom has barretts esophagus and that is no silly thing. You could be working on esophageal strictures and again that is no laughing matter. That acid reflux can cause you a world of hurt and a simple daily med can make you feel like you've gotten a while body tune-up it most amazing. GOOD LUCK
I have a lot of the same problems. The biggest factor is getting your stress under control, which I still cant seem to do. However some of the other things I've done which have shown improvement were elevating my bed and pillows to keep the acid reflux down. Take the prilosec pill just before bed ( I take one every single day) Avoid milk and dairy as much as possible, milk acts almost like a natural irritant especially when you have all that inflammation going on in your belly. I've actually gone on a almost complete celiac diet. Also I have just had a barium exam done, which showed duodenitis its the part of the stomach that connects to the intestine (its completely inflamed ) As for constipation-miralax is your best bet. Stick with that versus anything else...because nothing else is as gentle. When you mention going #2, are your bowel movements always loose or frequently loose? What were you diagnosed with? GERD? Gastritis? Anything along those lines? I have both - if you have more questions...
you could try raising the head of your bed a couple of inches, or sleeping at a slightly raised level if it is happening at night. i have acid rising into my throat when i sleep, and raising my bed a bit has helped, i also take 20mg of omeprazole (losec) up to twice a day, which also helps. i hope this is helpful.
