fevers

evening high fevers (103, 101, 103) with chills, muscle aches, slow thinking, started one week ago with rash going up right forearm, which was treated with rocephin then amocicillin.  3 tendon crossover on right forarm very painful for week.  Used brace on wrist. rash with swelling covered 3/4 of right forearm.  happened while working in my flowerbed which has heavy mulch and goes under a holly bush.  Please could you suggest possible causes to research.  Thanks so much.

you might try lymes disease,caused by a tick,or deer tick which is very small you may think its a freckle

Yes, West Nile, Lyme Disease, Rocky Mountain Spotted tick fever, allergic reactions, De Quevarains tenonditis.  You should really go back to your physician and be tested for West Nile and Rocky Mountain Spotted tick fever if you live in an area where mosquitos and ticks are present.  The rash, fever and chills is what is making me think of these possible diagnosis.  Also have a CBC done to see if your white blood count is elevated.  Either way,  you need to see a doctor and if they do not listen to what you are telling them or refuse to test you, please seek a second opinion.
