When will this flu end...help!!

I got very sick late last Thursday night. I was woken up with a pounding headache and nausea. I had a fever for two days in the 100s. I actually got out of bed Sunday to move to the couch to watch the Packers play then back to bed. Still very weak and really haven't ate for days. I went to work the last two days and I still feel sick. I have these crazy hot flashes that come and go. I don't remember the flu lasting this long. Has anybody been through this?

Thank you for all of your great answers. Today a little better. I still get hot flashes when I'm in motion at work and a headache. But if I chug water I feel it helps.  I'll give it until Monday to see how I feel. (:

Depending on your immune system it sometimes does take a while for the flu to go away, but if its a virus there is nothing that can be done, it will leave when it is ready. Meanwhile be sure to be intaking plenty of fluids, supplements Vit C definately. Not sure how you feel about Naturopathic doctors but they provide IV drips for symptoms you are having to get your immune system back to work. I just love them, they always help and depending on the symptoms they will give you exactly what your body is missing. Are a little pricey but worth it in the end.

Try to get bloodwork and see a doctor if it still persists.
