Liver problems and Tattoos

I am an alcolic...and about 2 weeks ago, my doctor took tests on my liver and the results came back very bad, especially for my age(23). Apparently my liver is seriously damaged. I haven't drank since I heard the news but what I want to know is...if I get a new tattoo....can my damaged liver prevent it from healing right? I know the liver filters the toxins in your body and helps you recover, but would my liver affect my new tattoo in any way? Does anybody have any idea?? What if my tattoo wont heal?

I don't have the results....but I know for a fact it's 100% alcohol related. I don't have hep or anything like that. I just highly abused my liver for too long...I also have an ulcer that Im trying to heal right now as well.

Do you have your test results, if so can you post them? This would be an indicator if it's related to alcoholic, fatty liver, or hep.

you should ask your MD, they may suggest waiting a bit to give your live time to heal b4 you get a tattoo.  i would research what you can do yourself, other than meds to help your healing, like diet changes.  if all else fails, ask your tattoo artist their opinion.  in my experience, a good tattooist really knows their s$@% and may have some really helpful, and novel, ideas
good luck
