It sounds like you might have bronchitis or pneumonia to me, and might need an antibiotic. Coughing consistently can cause your stomach to hurt, especially your muscles. But also can just make your belly hurt period. throwing up can ALso Make your tummy sore. I would Def go for an x-ray!
Just so you know.... virals can last a couple weeks. So if xray does not show anything, you may have to let v this just riDE itself out. In the meantime, put some vicks vapor rub on your chest, and on the bottom of your feet, then put socks on. You can also clos we yourself in your bathroom m, turn shower on the hottest it will go, and just just sit in the steam. *but be sure to gradually open door and slowly go back to your room temperature. Try to avoid going in AND out of extreme hot and cold,
Sorry to hear you feel unwell Chelsea.
You need to have your lungs examined by your doctor. The doctor will be able to determine whether you have a chest infection and if you require a course of antibiotics.
Sounds like you have had a very bad bout of cold or the flu that has now dropped onto your chest.
In the meantime do steam inhalations.
To do a steam inhalation, boil up a kettleful of water and pour this into a bowl, taking care not to get scalded. Put some Vick or olbas oil or a few drops of any other menthol drops into the water. Bend your head over the bowl and cover your head and the bowl with a towel. Breathe in the steam through your nose and out through your mouth. It can be quite hot so do be very careful. Do this for up to 10 minutes if you can.
You can also rub some Vick onto your throat and chest and ask a parent to rub some on your back. This will help with the breathing and loosen up the congestion.
Ask a parent to make you an urgent appointment to see your doctor.
Wishing you a speedy recovery.
