sinus infection

2 months ago i got the flu. I was so sick that it took me more than a week (almost 2 weeks) to recover. But i still had headaches and feeling pressure on my eyes until now. I went to the doctor a few days ago, he gave to do x ray. It turned out that i have sinus infection. He gave me antibiotics.
Will antibiotics (twice a day for 7 days) help to make the infection go?
Why did i get sinus infection? I am a 22 years old healthy male.
Thank you

Sinus infection is a common result of the flu. Your body fighting off the flu creates a hostile environment. Antibiotics won't cure the flu, but they will cure the sinus infection that the flu created.
