IBS

I have a 27 year old son that for the past 10 months has been suffering from bouts of diarrhea.  He was initially treated for infection, but when treatment did not help he was worked up for celiac disease, and Cronin’s disease among others.  He was treated for IBS as well.  He has a history of acid reflux. He developed allergies to seafood, soy and tree nuts over the last 4 years. Prior to this point he was in great health. His food intake is limited and he suffers from bouts of diarrhea followed by constipation.  He thinks it may be allergy related but is at a loss as to what his next steps should be. His doctor is great but admits that he does not know what is going on. He was referred to a gastroenterologist who ruled out many disorders and referred him back to his primary care doctor. Any thoughts on what he should do next?
