Is this a flare up?

Hi I'm a college student from NY. I was originally diagnosed with ulcerative colitis last year in Feb and lost 20lb due to bloody diarrhea.

I had a flare up last year in August again and took prednisone for a couple weeks and the symptoms went away.

I started fooling around around Thankgiving then drank about 16 shots of vodka less than two hours.
The next day I had a normal stool at first then about an hour later in the morning I had dark diarrhea with coffee bean looking things that disintegrated into blood.

Since then I started taking asacol again. No pain but I have some blood mixed with formed stool. Very urgent to go to the bathroom and have developed palpitations for no reasons. And took 40mg of prednisone and palpitation gets worse and I ended up throwing up within 30 minutes after consuming prednisone even though I had no such side effect last year in august.
again. No pain in abdominals, just very urgent. going to bathroom twice a day max.(fairly formed) but some solid blood mixed with stool

Any suggestions? should I run some tests after talking with my doctor?
college is starting within a few days again and I'm worried.

Hi,
This could indicate disease activity.
Consult your gastroenterologist for colonoscopy and for adjusting the dose of medications.

Thank you. Seems like I will be on 6MP for years along with prednisone even though prednisone gives me palpitations and anxiety attacks.
