I think what u have is ulcerative colitis. The flagella u take for treating amoebiasis temporarily relieves ur diarrhea symptoms.Ulcerative colitis has to be treated with a seperate theraphy. Please consult a gasteroenterologist for further treatment.

My husband had similar problems. Eveytime he goes to our primary care doctor ,he prescribes him flagella which temporarily cures him.It starts up again and again and when we went for colonoscopy he was diagnosed with left sided colitis. He is under medication ( COLAZAL) for 6 months now. There is a lot of improvement now.

U have to control it with a combination of medicine and diet.

Good luck with ur treatment.

Hi,
Amebic colitis is due to infection by a parasite called entameba histolytica.
Infection is usually acquired by the ingestion of food or water contaminated with feces containing cysts.
Maintaining adequate hygiene will prevent this.
