I'm not a health professional but have had lots of Echos and a great deal of heart problems. EF is transient, I wouldn't worry about it unless you get huge swings in numbers. For example, if I got a 50% EF rating, I'd be out celebrating.
A lot depends on who is doing the test, and how skillful they are. I don't worry much about EF numbers, but do pay attention to the wording. For example, the word 'trace' means basically your heart is normal, no one has a perfectly performing heart. Generally, procedure reports use the words Trace, Mild, Moderate, Moderate/Severe and Severe regarding valve function. Trace means to me a normal heart.
Palps are very seldom a serious heart problem. Given your age and anxiety over heart issues, I'd just relax, and enjoy being 28 years old! Keep us informed.
