Otoplasty - Ears too flat

I had otoplasty 3 days ago and got the bandage off the day after surgery. The surgeon told me I only had to wear a headband at night and not during the day because the ears are sitting well.

The problem is I think the ears are sittng too close to my head and are basically stuck against my head they look very unnatural. When I take a photo from the front you can not see any ears at all and I look as though I dont have any. Will the ears come out as they heal or will this be their final position? Is it possible to get another surgery to make them look more natural if they stay stuck to my head?

Thanks

It's really impossible to assess the result of an otoplasty at 3 days.  In my practice, I leave the dressing on for one week post surgery.  Even then, there is still considerable swelling and the ears may seem plastered to the side of your head.  If this persists after three months, then the results should be reviewed with your surgeon.
