The facial nerve controls the muscles of facial expression.  If your muscle function has returned, that is excellent.  The facial (or seventh cranial) nerve is not a sensory nerve, so if you are numb, it is a result of injury to the fifth cranial nerve or another sensory nerve.  It is unlikely that this sensory function will return.  If necessary, speak with your surgeon.
