post tummy tuck

I had a tummy tuck 15 months ago. Everything went very well. Over the past year I have lost around 18 pounds. I know weigh about 103 pounds. The last week or so I have been experiencing some wierd sensations in my stomach around my belly button area. I feel more tightness. The feeling comes and goes. Sometimes I wonder if it's my intestines moving around. I have felt for lumps or bumps, and have felt nothing. It is very smooth. I wondered, since I am so thin, if it could be where the sutures were, that is causing this sensation. Or, if it has always been there, and I am just noticing it now with the weightloss. I just had a checkup 3 months ago and everything was fine, although, I have lost about 6 more pounds since then. I feel great, and have plenty of energy. This sensation in my stomach is always in the back of my mind, because I hear about so many health problems and cancer. I have also been under a lot of stress in the last few months. Can you please explain this, so I can put my mind to rest.

The recent onset of symptoms, now well over one year from the date of your surgery, makes it very unlikely that it is related to your tummy tuck.  However, it would be impossible to evaluate you without a direct examination.  These symptoms are clearly bothersome and you should be re-examined by your doctor.
