Cleft Lip

I'm 5 1/2 months pregnant and i was told by my doctor that my baby has cleft lip. i was just wondering how old she will have to be to get her first surgery.

Cleft lip repair is usually performed at about three months, assuming blood count and weight are normal for age.  This also allows growth of the child so that repair can be performed to a maximum degree.
