cheek bone broken..

my brother was beaten very badly and his one cheek bone is broken. he has quite high cheek.now he can't face outside world and depressed. unfortunately he is in nepal and the doctor says they cannot help to lift the cheek bone. do you think any thing can be done to lift his cheek and bring his life back?  can you help please.

Oh yes thats true with te doctor.But otehr form repairing the bone , you can try to put soem stainless steel support on the replace of the broken bone.It is a safe teqniqie as my uncle had this operation at 1992 on his broken leg femur and he is still ok andno one even knows he had a surgery.
It is cost efective and u can give it a try

Repair of a displaced and fractured cheekbone is a well established surgical procedure.  The exact procedure will depend on the finding on X-ray and at the time of surgery.  Your brother need to seek the help of a surgeon qualified to repair facial fractures.  If too long an interval occurs (over three to four weeks), the bones will heal in an abnormal position and repair then becomes much more difficult.
