interested in getting lipo

Hello just in here trying to get a little info about lipo. I am 41 years old with  6 children and had my tubes tied almost a year ago and now I want to look into getting lipo done. But I would like to know if anyone has had it done? And what are the risks and recovery time.

Thank you very much, and yes it is only in my tummy that I really need help and I will look into the tummy tuck procedure. Thank you again.

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Liposuction is a procedure that I perform almost daily.  Depending on the extent and size of the areas to be treated, disability is usually limited to only three or four days.  I recommend a compression garment that is placed immedaitely after the surgery and is typically worn for three weeks.  I allow patients to shower after only one or two days.  It takes about four weeks to allow swelling to subside for the most dramatic results to appear.

However, you did not specify the areas you are interested in treating.  Presumably this is you tummy.  If so, then after six kids, a tummy tuck may be more appropriate.  You need to see a local plastic surgeon to determine what is best for you.
