narrow hips

Hello!\
I am 20 years old woman and I am interested in making my figure more hourglass.

I suffer from quite narrow (!!!) hips, probably from hormonal disorders during puberty years which been late to be resolved.
The problem is, my hips are kinda narrow, compared to my shoulders (which aren't really wide but maybe a little bit) and it gives me kind of a straight body figure below the shoulders, with the shoulders a bit wider.
I doubt that the figure will improve by itself, now that I am nearing age 21 and that the bones are pretty much sealed, although I could be wrong.

I am sure the problem is bone itself and not fat, which I have enough of.

Is there any way to help me get closer or even achieve an hourglass figure rather than the weird inverted triangle or the rectangle with shoulders that I have now?

Will fat transfer or implant help me at all? or will it only enhance the back side? (I want it to be seen from the front, not have more of a butt projecting backwards)

Or is the problem can't be solved because it is a bone structure problem and fat can only got to the butt itself?

It really hurts my confidence and my look.. I really hope to have a solution for it!

Thanks

While a variety of permanent surgical solutions are available to contour your trunk, you need to be seen in consultation by a plastic srugeon to determine if any are appropriate.  A consultation will determine if your goals are realistic and achievable.  It  is not possible in this forum to advise you.

I’m not sure what hormone disorder you had/have but I can say with confidence if you are 21 the bones will very likely be fused and not grow anymore although considering the hormone disorder maybe not. Estrogen is responsible for women gaining weight on their lower half of the body as apposed to men who gain it on the stomach and back. Make sure your oestrogen levels are normal although I’m sure your endocrinologist has looked into this.

I imaging you could have implants put in your hip after all you can have them put anywhere else.

Before going down that road though you many want to consider working out, you could build up your hip muscles, also gaining a little weight would help.
And having a small tones waist will make the hips look larger.

In the mean time you may want to try sorting the problem with smart clothes choice. You’d be amazed how much this can help.

Wear tops that make your shoulders look smaller, a belt on top of your dress will make the waist look smaller and puffy of frilly skirt will make the hips look bigger.
That was the whole idea behind the corsets and puffy dresses popular in Victoria times.
