I like to help out with these sorts of things. I have had colitis since I was a child and would love to help but I don't know if I would still qualify to partake in this workbook. I have an ileostomy now, but my rectum is still diseased. I don't deal with the symptoms as often anymore, but it has only been a year since my surgery.
Let me know?
I have had u.c. for over 15 yrs; am now on remission. I take Asacol pills with every meal, and Salofalc (in the rectum) every night. age: over 70, with difficulty pressing in the Salofalc with my hands, so I use an ordinary calking gun (Walmart) (I tie the tube with a camping strap) (be carefull, go very slow so as not to do damage to the gut)
I believe my remission came about only after many years of treatment, & maybe, & only maybe because by using the gun, I empty the salofalc cartrige completely, & again ''maybe'' because I no longer eat breakfast (let my gut rest) I drink a large glass of cold water when getting up, which makes me ''go'' tothe toilet, & empties my gut.
I don't know if this study is open, but I am interested in participating. I was diagnosed with crohns in may 2015. My email is ***@****.
