By now you probably know what makes the symptoms worse so eliminate the foods from your diet. Eating small portions throughout the day helps. I had my first surgery 9 months ago (I'm 41 yrs old) and have had Chrons since high school but never diagnosed. Every 4 years I would have a "flare up" that would last a month or two, but blamed it on a nervous stomach. The last flare up was when I was 38 and I started losing a ton of weight and went to the restroom upto 15 times a day sometimes more. The Chrons was so bad they did surgery and I feel like a new person and my stomach has not hurt at all. I still have to stay away from fried foods and red meat, but feel 100% better. Make sure you have a doctor that specializes in Chrons, take your meds, take chewable or liquid vitamins to help with energy. I still take B12 shots monthly. Good luck and welcome to the drizzling diflukie club.
try adding mini wheats to your daily diet.
Yes, it can. I had chronic runs for 2 years before I was diagnosed w/IBD. I didn't get diagnosed w crohns until 1994, 9 years later.
DIET plays a role in your symptoms.
The best product I've found to help heal the intestinal track and give me formed movements is Primal Defense Ultra. I take it in addition to RX meds for crohns. The RX meds alone are not enough.
Red meat is not your friend. Try to eat organic chicken and fish. No raw sushi or eggs. Exercise also is important- even just walking.
Good Luck!
I am a 40 year old male who has had CD for a while and I wish I could tell you that it will get better but the reality is that it will not. I have not had a "hard" stool for years and years. It is not always diarrhea but is always very loose and many times mostly liquid. If you are lucky and go into remission it will get a lot better but not 100%.
Good Luck!!
