Is there hope for recovery from anal fissures?

When an anal fissure is trated with the seton string due to the location of the fissure being attached to the sphincter muscle, is there any hope for a complete recovery?

I apologize. I have been fine with the fissures unless I have a bad day with my crohns then the area will bleed a little but I have been healed so far from fissures I would say. That has been about 4 yrs now. I was having issues for 3-6 months until the bleeding was soo bad I went and got checked out. After that I would say a couple months  to completely heal up for me. Also witch hazel pads and just witch hazel and T.P works but the pads are more durable. It burns a little but helps in the end tremendously. I am not sure as to what a seton string is; never heard of it.

Hey there..I cann only express knowledge about what I went through. I had fissures yrs before I was diagnosed with crohns. I didn't seek medical attn until I couldn't stop bleeding from my bottom. They gave me steroid suppositories to use and after some time went by, they healed. For me it was really bad. Every time I went to the bath room, I was bleeding and it only progressed until it would drip like a bleeding nose. I was unsure and embarrassed I may add, about what was taking place. Hopefully this will shed some light!!
