A few years back, five or six, I had my gallbladder removed. I had been experiencing acid reflux, and my doctor said the best option was to remove the entire gallbladder. After a small diet adjustment, I went on my merry way. I had many nights in which I would wake up ill, and would throw up mouthfuls of bile, however, I figured that to be a result of having no gallbladder. In the past year however, I have been experiencing different symptoms, and no doctor can seem to tell me what is wrong with me. It all started with diarrhea. Everything I ate seemed to go right through me, and I would have attacks of diarrhea daily, sometimes, just water and a mucous-like substance. Around this time, I had relatives coming over to visit, and my doctor assured me that it was simply IBS. The relatives left though, and the symptoms remained. I have been experiencing, for the past year, an extreme discomfort after I eat. As soon as I eat, I can feel my stomach gurgle, and I have a lot of gas. Then, all of a sudden, I get diarrhea. For hours after these attacks, my stomach remains unsettled, and I experience a pain in my anus from the diarrhea. I have also been experiencing a constant pressure on my rectum and lower abdomen, as well as pain in my upper abdomen. This pain sometimes radiates right down my upper legs as well, and I experienced this strange feeling in my anus, sort of like I'm sitting on a ball. After many trips to the doctor, it was discovered that my uterus flipped over. I had a hysterectomy (I kept ovaries). Six months later, the pain is still there. One doctor said I had a condition called proctalgia fugax, and another says it is spastic colon. A recent doctor I went to said I was allergic to milk, but, after changing my diet, I'm still in pain. I recent ultrasound showed that I have a fibroid on my ovary and endometriosis, but my doctors haven't considered these conditions as a diagnosis. It is with frustration that I now ask you, what is wrong with me? Colitis?
