Hi everyone:

I am newly diagnosed Crohn's disease.  Crohn's is actually my seventh disease.  I have diabetes, diabetic neuropathy, Addison's disease, carcinoid syndrome, intersticial lung disease and sirosis of the liver.  I had a colonoscopy done in Boston a month ago and learned that all the pain I have been having in my stomach (which they kept testing me for diviticilitis (sp?) for the last year was in fact Crohn's.  I am learning as much as I can and am on antibiotics right now for another flare up.  My doctor is going to put me on Azechol (not sure of the spelling) and he said it is a good medication.  Is anyone else on this medication and have any side effects from it?

Lynne

I have been on Asacol since my dx in 2005. I haven't had any side effects and it really helps to keep my c.d. under control. Good luck and I sure hope it has helped you.

hey Asocol shouldn't have bad side effects. It could suppress your immune system, but I've heard it does help. Side effects depend on the person though. No need to worry
