Oh, we don't combine them.  Sorry, I can see where you might have thought that given the way I responded.  I meant that we celebrate Halloween the same day you folks do..lol.  Thanksgiving is in October though instead of November.  But...I like the idea a lot!!  Halloween is so much fun isn't it.

Thanks so much.  And yes, there is no question they are the most important aspect of my life.  I am grateful every single day for my two "men" and also grateful for the rest of my family.  Everything else comes second, and it's nice to have a special day to sit back and remind myself of that.  It's kinda fun this year too as Ryder is more aware of the fact that some days are special.  He's a bit confused though...with Christmas decorations out in the stores already, I think he thinks Santa's coming.  And today he told someone he was going to be 3 soon cause it was his birthday...lol.

Mine to R.  Unfortunately though my oven broke!  Hubby is supposed to fix it today - slowed me down on those yummy pies.  

Teko, one of these days I'm so taking you up on that!!  I haven't been to Florida in over 10 years now.  I've been to Miami, Ft. Lauderdale and Key West.  So very beautiful and I sure love that weather.  When I win the lottery I'm going to become a snowbird!  Thanksgiving on the beach...what a great idea.  We've already had snow, though it didn't stick around fortunately.

I thought of the internet, but am worried it won't get here in time.  Then my poor little boy's heart will be broken...I cannot believe how focused he is on being Elmo..lol. I've got a few more places to check out, then if push comes to shove I did find directions on line to make it - looks pretty simple and hopefully I can handle it..ha.

As for being hungry...I invite you every single year for Thanksgiving and you never come!  Course, hard to blame you for not wanting to leave warm sunny Florida for Calgary in October.  We are into our winter wear now...and so it begins..sigh.

Ck out what you can find online, just google elmo halloween costume and see what ya come up with! Just a thought.....If all else fails, Im sure you can throw something together! lol

We're having turkey with all the trimmings!  More importantly, it's a long weekend..lol.  Halloween is the same date here, and Ryder is bound and determined he is going to be Elmo.  Nothing else will do..lol.  Having a terrible time finding a costume, might have to break out the sewing machine (i am less the talented in this area unfortunately).  We are heading to the pumpkin patch today to find that perfect pumpkin to carve..he is so excited.  ha.
