On a Lighter note guys , what excitement will you get up to on New Years Eve , what resolutions will you have this year and did you keep to last years ..I make em and I break em with in a week ...I have been invited out to 2 bashes but I like staying home, I get out the Champers, climb in bed with the cat pop on the TV and watch that ball roll down in New York the DH snores thru it all ...

Heck, I'll take that secret service protection forever and that income...yeah, that ain't nothin' to sneeze at.  I could learn to live on it.  Sure, it COULD be higher, but I'll vote THAT in later!

We have fireworks here -- I could hear them going off for a long time, but they started at dark, rather than midnight. 

I was in bed before 10:00 ---- yep, just an old "party pooper".........

Funny you'd mention guns...  I went to a gun range in Milwaukee with my son and his girlfriend yesterday.  They have a picture of Obama in there as the best gun salesman of the year!  

But, that place was BUSY!  By the time we left, there were people waiting to get down to the range (it's in the basement).  

Yep.  That's how I spent New Year's Eve day...  Went to a party at my church last night.  Just an alcohol-free, gun-slinging kind of girl !

They have fireworks a lot of times. They can be dangerous if the person doesn't know what they are doing. Children like to watch them, like they do for the 4th of July. Adults like to watch them too if they are big like they have the displays.

I do have a gun and only use it when I have to. Better than having some idiot come into my house when my husband is not here and be beat to death, or raped. I live at a city line and not long ago someone broke into a house that an invalid lived and killed her nurse. There has been several murders in the surrounding area, children go home and find their mothers dead, finding someone in a sewege tank in the country area that couldn't be identified. I want to be in a position to protect myself. Just saying no, does not work....I have a Bible too....If showing it doesn't work, then I just send them there and God can punish him!  : )

From the sound of the weather report its going to be chilly everywhere , its certainly a cold winter so far , we have a gorgeus Full Moon out tonight LA police have come out and said no firing of weapons into the air..does that also happen in other states where dumbclucks start firing away at New Year ?

Yes sounds like fun. I will probably be with some friends and family on New Year's Eve and definitely watching the countdown to a new decade (which hopefully should bring us better luck than the past one). I never have personally been to Times Square to watch the ball drop because its a bit of a mob scene but I know people that have. Don't really have any heavy new year's resolutions. Just get out and enjoy life more a bit.
