If you actually believe that by choosing "monkey" rather than "ape" you've insulated yourself from a charge of racism at the worst and gross insensitivity at the very best then there's not much I can say to you. I don't think many clear thinking people would make that distinction.
I believe that you used "monkey" for its racist association.
""Stop acting like thug, monkey, barbarians" seems to fit well with the situation, to me. Doesn't resonate with you i guess, and you automatically jump to the 'race-card' for protection...."
Your description of the Baltimore protesters/rioters as "thug, monkey, barbarians" says so much more about you than it does about them that it begs comment.
As I said, the word "monkey" has without question been used as a derogatory reference to black people since the time of slavery. That's just too firmly established for any attempt at denial argument.
I suppose you also don't know that the term "thug" has recently been used/understood as a codeword for a black male.

"Doesn't resonate with you i guess, and you automatically jump to the 'race-card' for protection...."
Oh it resonates alright - just like it would with most reasonable people - as racism - plain and simple.
The suggestion that I jump to the 'race card" for protection is just silly. I don't feel the need for any protection. I read your racist post and commented on it. You can pretend that your use of "monkey" and "thug" to describe a predominantly black group of protesters was pure and wholesome and maybe for you it was, though I highly doubt it. It sure doesn't' read that way! Having seen so much of this stuff from you I have to consider the possibility that this perspective is so deeply ingrained in you that you're not really aware of it.
I could have said "ape", but chose monkey instead...
Apes would have been racist. My Mum used to tell me to "stop acting like a monkey" all the time, when I was little and acting out.
"Stop acting like thug, monkey, barbarians" seems to fit well with the situation, to me. Doesn't resonate with you i guess, and you automatically jump to the 'race-card' for protection.
You're more racist than I am. Take a look in the mirror. Staring back at you is a racist bigot. Congratulations.
Bigot.
You just couldn't resist that "monkey" word - could you?
Justice has been done.
Stop rioting and acting like thug monkey barbarians.
Go home.

How about that undiisclosed mysterious stop?
I wonder why the police neglected to report that stop.
Maybe it was an innocent oversight. Sure, you betcha.
