Santa Rosa Companies provide #valleyfire patients free cannabis products
When it comes to basic necessities for some Valley Fire victims, underwear, socks and toothbrushes aren’t enough. After losing their homes and personal possessions, medical marijuana patients are getting a hand from a local cannabis provider.
Santa Rosa’s Care by Design and AbsoluteXtracts are donating $20,000 worth of medical marijuana products to the victims of the Valley Fire who have existing medical prescriptions to use cannabis.
Through Oct. 7, 2015, each prescribed victim can receive up to $200 worth of products without cost. Simply bring a California issued ID card with an address in one of the four affected areas (Kelseyville, Middletown, Cobb and Hidden Valley Lake) and a valid prescription to California Member Services (delivery only for Lake County, 707-900-1257), Peace in Medicine, Santa Rosa (1061 North Dutton Ave., Santa Rosa) and Peace in Medicine, Sebastopol (6771 Sebastopol Ave., Sebastopol) or SF’s SPARC (1256 Mission St., San Francisco ).
The combined damage of the fires is devastating and is reported to be the third worst fire in California history. Over 1,500 homes have been burned, more than 140,000 acres of land destroyed, and five casualties reported. Thousands of residents were forced to evacuate their homes, leaving them with restricted access to essential daily items—including medical marijuana.

Yes indeed.
A corporation should be able to afford something of this nature much easier than a small local company, yet you don't hear of such a thing in a crisis of this nature.
True. But the dispensary is ( relatively) small and local, not a corporation.
Wow - wouldn't it be nice if our pharmaceutical companies came through like that in a crisis of this nature?
